This past week I participated in the "Paint the Beach" plein air painting competition on Fort Myers Beach.  It was great fun, and very nice to be painting outdoors again.  This was a very well run event, and I was pleased to take home a $500 prize (3rd Place).  I met so many interesting people, and was happy to talk with all of them.

Hello, we noticed a portion of this painting on the cover of "The Catch" magazine while we were vacationing in Fort Myers Beach last week. It really caught my eye. Then we walked by the very street on the way to Bodwich Point park. You captured the view perfectly and the feeling of being on vacation in FMB.

Thanks so much for your kind remarks. I was really struck by that location, and how it had all the attributes of FMB. The painting just came back from a show in Connecticut. If you're interested in either purchasing the painting or a giclee print of it, please let me know.
